So, the other night, around midnight, Josh and I are getting ready for bed when we hear a loud crash outside our bedroom door. Thankfully, I wasn't asleep or it would have scared me to death it was so loud! I wondered what (or who) on earth was causing such a ruckus in the middle of the night. I ran to the door, opened it and there is Ellie laying on the ground, looking up at me, smiling. I asked her what she was doing. She looked up at me and said, "Somersaults!" Somersaults at midnight! Of course! What else would she be doing?

This is my favorite story of Ellie thus far! She is so cute. Don't you just wonder what is going on in her little mind? It's always working, you can tell! Love you guys.
YES! Somersaults in the middle of the night... why not?!
you know, there is only one Ellie, and thank goodness we have ONE! I loved watching her play the the Gel leaves and brought out last Friday...they instantly became a family of leaves...red, orange, yellow all taking care of each other...one even had to go to the hospital...she must have played with those for hours...if you don't know what they are, well, they are little colorful shapes (in this case, leaves) that adhere to a window so the light shines through them and they look gorgeous. Luke and Parker liked them too and Ellie was great to share..."Here Luke, you can have the red ones...Parker , you are little so you can have the little yellow ones." Oh I love waatching these kids!

Well, yeah, everyone knows you do cartwheels at 4am!
I love how she smiled up at you and just said, "sommersaults." Cute.
What indeed! That you should ask her such a question is preposterous. She is 3 and she should bloody well be doing somersaults at midnight. I just thank heaven the floor outside my bedroom is wood so if Will were to take to such activities, it would be in his room. Likely it will be the Lizzard who will be doing somersaults at midnight. I like that as the title of a children's book, "Somersault's at Midnight".
