A few weeks ago, when the leaves started changing we decided to head up the canyon to Silver Lake. This is such a beautiful place at any time of year, but especially in the fall. As we were driving, we happened to look over in the lane next to ours and saw some of our best friends, heading up the canyon as well! Great minds think alike! We stopped and ate a delicious breakfast as Silver Fork Lodge. I got the sourdough pancakes (Dad, yours are better :), Josh got the eggs benedict, Luke had the full two egg breakfast with pancakes and Ellie and Parker shared a waffle. After breakfast, we said goodbye to our friends and drove up to the lake.
The kids had so much fun running on the path, straying from the path, climbing over rocks and fallen logs, and hunting for squirrels. Josh and I had a great time watching them explore. I remember being so fascinated with the mountains as a kid.
