My project for this year is to give my kid's rooms some character and personality. I decided to start with Luke. Luke LOVES animals. He would rather pretend he is a tiger or a lion than play any other type of game. One day, we were looking at a magazine and he saw a picture of a little kid's room with a jungle painted on the wall. He told me that was what he wanted his room to look like.
Initially, I was just going to paint his room green because it is his favorite color. However, seeing that picture in the magazine made me think about the possibility of doing a mural. After doing some research online, I found an artist whose style both Luke and I really liked. His name is Sean Pando and he is a student at BYU. I called him and he agreed to do it! Luke was very specific about the animals he wanted in the picture. He wanted a tiger, snake, monkey and some sort of bird. Sean did an amazing job incorporating all of Luke's ideas. We couldn't be more happy with how it turned out! I am still waiting on a few accessories to complete his room, but so far, it is looking amazing! This is a picture of the kids standing in front of the finished project with Sean.

just look at what a dude from BYU can do
What a great idea! I love it. And I love that you let Luke lead the project! And I can't get over how freaking ADORABLE your kids are. Those faces. And that red curly hair. SO cute.
We are so loving it! Luke is a lucky little guy to sleep in the jungle every night!!! Good job, Luke!!!
It looks like Jungle Book! LOVE IT! Although the snake would give me nightmares.

Liz,
That looks amazing! What a lucky boy to get such cool room!
It blows my mind that people have that kind of artistic ability. Luke will love it--good for you for doing what he wanted, not just what us moms think we want. That's so cute I bet you both love it though.
that looks so cool. and i just have to say how cute i always think your kids are. they are so unique. they almost look european or something. They all have the most beautiful faces. anyway, i need to see you sometime soon. my mom saw you the other day and was saying what a neat girl you are and how much she likes you.
