Two weeks ago, we were able to go to sunny California for a week! This is our annual family trip with Josh's side of the family. Our kids LOVE to be with their cousins and they we so excited to be together 24/7. We went to Sea World, spent time in the pool and at the beach, ate at some of our favorite restaurants.

One of the best parts of the trip was having the opportunity to attend the taping of the "So You Think You Can Dance" finale in LA. We had to wait in line to get our tickets, and ended up sitting in the second balcony, but it was still well worth it. The whole taping took about five hours! It was fun to see how things work behind the scenes. All of the dancers were amazing. The judges were really hard on Evan. They edited much of what they said to him for the actual show. I love, love, love this show and to actually be there was something I will never forget.

Another highlight of the trip was celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary! I decided to give Josh a surfing lesson as a present. We all went up to Laguna Beach for the day to watch him. The lesson was two hours long, and his teacher said the conditions were perfect. Josh stood up on his first attempt. He is a natural. (Maybe we should move to California!) By the end of the lesson, he was SO tired! He did a great job, though. That night, we went to dinner at a great Italian restaurant and then went to see the movie "500 Days of Summer." It was a great day.

This trip went WAY too fast! We had a great trip! This week, the kids and I are off to Jackson Hole and Josh is off to China!
