Utah vs. Notre Dame

This year, we returned to Notre Dame for the Utah vs. Notre Dame football game. I felt a little guilty wearing Utah red! Going back made me remember how much I LOVED our experience in Indiana. The thing I miss the most is the people. I have never met such nice, down to earth, classy people in all my life. I would move back in a heartbeat just to be around them.
We did all of the traditional pregame stuff- watching the team walk from the Basilica to the stadium, listening to the trumpets play the fight song under the golden dome, and watching the band, Irish Guard and cheerleaders make their way to the stadium. I also got the most delicious carmel apple. I got so caught up in everything, I forgot to take pictures! Thanks, Erica for this shot. It's the only one I have of us at the game!
I don't even like football. In fact, I complain about it every year. There is just something about Notre Dame that just gets you in the football spirit! I may have even done the Irish jig in the rain! The Utes played horribly and I was wet and freezing after the first half. I headed to the bookstore for some shopping for the second half! I'm glad I did! What a great place to be despite the loss for the Utes. I'm proud to wear both red and white and gold and blue!
