Boys Will Be Boys, Girls Will Be Girls!

A few weeks ago, Ellie and I started a mom and tot dance class at Virginia Tanner. She LOVES it and asks me everyday if we get to go to dance together. I actually think Luke would love it too because it is so creative. Today, the parents held onto a huge piece of fabric and the kids jumped on it and pretended they were swimming. We do a lot of galloping, running, stretching and pretend play. Last week, we were bubbles floating, popping and falling. Anyway, she is loving it and I am so happy that she loves it!

Today, after dance, I took Ellie shopping for some clothes for the fall. As many of you know, she has only been wearing dresses since she could have a say in her wardrobe, and most of them are pink. Well, miracle of all miracles, today, she actually picked out pants, shirts, and a darling sweat suit in addition to a dress! She is a great shopping buddy. She kept pulling things off the shelf and saying, "Mom, look how beautiful this is!" We went to lunch and just had a great time together. It was great to be with her one on one. She has such a fun personality and is full of great comments. I'm so thankful to have a daughter!

While we were having girl time, the boys went to the fair. Josh said the boys just loved it! Luke loved the cows. He even got to pet one. He told me that he wasn't such a fan of the snakes. I have a huge snake phobia. I can't even look at a picture of one. Cute Luke said to me, "Mom, the next time we go to the fair, Daddy and Ellie and Parker can go look at the snakes and I will go look at the other animals with you." No arguments from me!
