Fresh Air!

I have great friends. My friends from college are some of my best. Four years ago, we all had babies within about eight months of each other, so we thought it would be fun to take a picture of them together every year. Here is our attempt at the photo this year. With the addition of new babies, we have also started a baby photo. As you can see, Luke and Ellie don't look too happy to be in the picture. Parker did pretty well at first, but then started to panic when he saw he was sitting on the grass next to someone other than me! Poor kid, I know.

These pictures are from Silver Lake up at Brighton. My mom had the great idea to take the kiddos up the canyon one evening. They had such a great time! We invited Grandma Jani and our cousins Jake and Sydney to come with us. The weather was wonderful, a little chilly but invigorating. The kids cheeks got nice and rosey as they ran around, searching for ducks in the water. They got sticks and pretended to fish and we even saw a moose! We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place where the mountains are only a drive away. Thanks Grandma Suzi for such a wonderful idea, the picnic, and your company. We love you!

Oh the glory of a mountain stream and moose tracks! What else is there in life on a late Indian-summer afternoon? Thanks for taking me with you up to Silver Lake...the kids did have a great time breathing in the fresh air, stretching their necks to see the tops of the evergreen trees and standing on huge rocks to fish with their sticks! What fun, what fun! Love to you all, Grandma Suzi
