Football Widow

It is no secret...I DO NOT ENJOY FOOTBALL SEASON! I went to the games during college, more to socialize than anything else. I tried to be a good sport when we first got married and went to the occasional game. When we went to Notre Dame, I actually enjoyed the games. I think it was because the fans got so involved. I learned all the cheers, did push ups in the stands, I even danced the Irish Jig!

I have to say, these days, I really resent the game. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband, but I do not love his addiction to football. It rules the roost around here. I know for three months out of the year, I can kiss my Saturdays goodbye (as well as my husband!)
Oh well, I guess it could be baseball. That would be worse!

I don't enjoy football either. I went to more games OUTSIDE of college than when I actually attended BYU. And when I did go to a BYU game it was because my dad had an extra ticket and he told me he would buy a hot dog.

You are preaching to the choir here Liz. My Saturdays are filled with Steve watching Fball all day or going to the games. I dread it all, Monday nights, Sunday afternoons, and even Thursday nights there is football too! Yuck!!!!!!!!

Oh, I am have been meaning to asking you... any good books you would recommend these days? I think that should be your next post, because any book you recommend I read and LOVE. I would love a "Lizzy Picks" moment!

Hi Liz - Just the thought of you doing the Irish jig and pushups makes me miss the good ol' days at ND. Don't think of it as being a football widow - Saturday is just Josh's "Attitude Adjustment Day". Can you imagine how grumpy he would be without it? Scary thought!
